IN TOONE NAMES AKIKO IRIYAMA CREATIVE DIRECTOR

PROVIDENCE, RI (June 30, 2005) – In Toone Communication, a woman-owned marketing communications firm based in Providence, today announced the naming of Akiko Iriyama as creative director for the firm. Iriyama oversees the creative design and development for the firm’s varied client base, including Cooley Group and SwimEx.

“Akiko and I have worked on many successful projects together over the past ten years,” said Jennifer Toone, president of In Toone. “Our new partnership is already delivering unparalleled results for our clients, and for the future of this firm.”

Iriyama has been designing and branding for over twenty years. In 1981, she received her Bachelor of Art degree from Massachusetts College of Art. >From 1995 to 2002, she served as vice president and art director for Berkley Advertising.

Most recently, she founded Boston Branding, a corporate branding, advertising and design company in the Greater Boston area. Signature clients of Iriyama’s career include Houghton Mifflin, Boston Symphony, Union Carbide, Dow Chemical, Stowe Woodward, Cusp Dental Research, PGA Tour and its President’s Cup logo, and Bosendorfer, an Austrian-based piano company.

Originally from Japan, Iriyama now resides in Newton, Massachusetts.
