NewsFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Providence River Animal Hospital enlists In Toone PROVIDENCE, RI (January 18, 2005) – Providence River Animal Hospital, a new Providence-based medical facility for cats and dogs, today announced it has hired In Toone Communication for advertising, promotions and public relations support. “In Toone was recommended to me through the Center for Women & Enterprise,” said Dr. Jane Linden, doctor of veterinary medicine and owner of Providence River Animal Hospital. “Upon meeting with the firm, it was clear that they could assist us in building community awareness.” The hospital, on the corner of Point and Parsonage Streets, is an adaptive-reuse of a 3000 square foot jewelry manufacturing plant. It was comprised of 2 - 1 story buildings joined together in the 1960’s, dressed up with a new street façade. Dr. Linden was committed to using the best quality materials in order to create a comfortable, pleasant and tasteful atmosphere. This choice meant using materials that were not included in the budget, such as Argentinean porcelain tile and a honed Indian black granite countertop for the reception area. Glass openings into all of the major spaces; surgery, ICU, and the cat and the dog ward, make it easier to monitor patient conditions and for staff to solicit help when needed. Open for five months, Providence River Animal Hospital already cares for nearly 300 patients, both dogs and cats, who hail from Providence and beyond.
