NewsFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Toone Emcees 2004 Gem Awards For Marketing Excellence PROVIDENCE, RI (May 20, 2004) - Last night, the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Marketing Association (RIAMA) held the organization's 3rd Annual GEM Awards, which honored area businesses for excellence in marketing. The ceremony was emceed by Jennifer Toone, president of In Toone Communication who is currently serving as president of RIAMA. This year, RIAMA received nearly double the amount of marketing campaign submissions this year from some of the most successful organizations in Rhode Island, including: Cox Communications; CVS Pharmacy; BankNewport; The Preservation Society of Newport County; Unicom; Lifespan; and Bank Rhode Island, to name a few. Nearly 100 of the State's best marketers will be in attendance. Presenting the awards were special guests, Nick, Ron and Pete Cardi of Cardi's furniture, whom RIAMA named "Marketers of the Year."
